Order block

A discretionary chart label for a candle or price area believed to precede a strong move.

There is no single universal order-block definition. Methods differ over candle selection, required displacement, mitigation and when the area becomes invalid.

One method may mark the final down candle before a rapid rise; another method may require additional structure conditions.

The label does not reveal actual institutional orders and should not be presented as proof of future support or resistance.
