Broker server time

Server time is the broker's clock, and it is the time stamped on every candle, not your local time.

Many brokers run at GMT+2 or GMT+3 so that the daily candle closes at the New York close. A candle labelled 08:00 is 08:00 for the server, whatever your own clock says.

Changing your computer's time zone does not change the chart. Working out the offset once, and writing it down, prevents a whole class of mistakes.
