Contract size

Contract size is how many units of the thing you are trading sit inside one lot.

It is 100,000 units for most currency pairs. For gold it is commonly 100 ounces per lot, and on micro accounts it can be 1 ounce.

Every pip value, margin figure and profit number comes from this one setting. It is listed in the symbol specification in your platform.
