Gap
A gap is a jump between one candle's close and the next one's open, with no trading in between.
The common one is the weekend gap: the market closes on Friday evening and reopens on Sunday or Monday at a different price.
Orders sitting inside the gap are filled at the first available price after the open, which may be far from where they were set.
