Lower low (LL)

A swing low whose price is below the preceding comparable swing low.

Lower lows are one observation used to describe falling structure when compared consistently on the same timeframe. The two troughs must come from the same swing-selection method for the comparison to be meaningful.

If successive selected troughs occur at 98 and 95, the second is a lower low relative to the first.

A lower low records what happened; it does not establish that price will continue lower.
